Welcome to this website about our research project of Brasília in Brazil!

We are a group of 17 students studying geography at University of Innsbruck. For the course "developmental research" in our masters programme, we have put the focus on the development of Brasília, the capital of Brazil.

During a research trip to Brasília, we have collected data through field work using multiple methods and concerning different topics.

How to navigate

The tabs of the sidebar navigate to different chapters that will lead you through our research project.
First of all we would suggest you to read our chapter "About Brasília" in order to get some background information about the capital and it's unique structure.

Follow our field work through an interactive map, to get an overview of our research findings. On the map you will find markers in different colors, each belonging to one of the topics that you can activat/deactivate on the top right side of the map. Feel free to click on the markers to get more informations and impressions on our work.

In the chapter "Topics" you will find detailed informations on our six different main observations. These pages will give you an even more detailed insight on our research on issues of urbanity, mobility, leisure, governance and daily life in Brasília.
The chapter "Conclusion" is collecting the main results and giving one conclusion on our whole research project.
